  • I helped load and unload incoming trucks of inventory and also furniture.
  • Setting up furniture on the floor was one of the main things I had to do for the company and also pricing them.
  • I also ran the floor and dealt with customer complaints or any questions they would have.

Team Lead

Aces Outdoor Landscape
04.2018 - 03.2021
  • As team leader I was in charge of setting the crew up for the day ahead of us.
  • That means getting the equipment ready with gas and oil and making sure they’re all running well.
  • We would start the day off by taking care of landscape which means cutting and weed eating the property.
  • Trimming the bushes with a hedge trimmer.
  • Blowing all the debris together in a pile to bag separately.
  • I also was the irrigation assistant and my duties were to help and guide the irrigation tech on some of the damaged valves or pipe.
  • Replacing new heads, looking for leaks on the ground that show a damaged pipe and flag it so we can patch it up.
  • I also was in charge of the pressure washing for the company that was my main job which I really enjoyed doing.
  • I would pressure wash the parking lot of the main entrance in the complex as well as the area around the leasing office and pool area.
  • Most of the time we would also have to pick up the trash around the compressor and once that was done I would pressure wash that area as well.

Cook/Shift Manager

Burger King
10.2016 - 03.2017
  • In this company I started as regular cook just making burgers and doing prep.
  • I say about a month later I was made into a shift manager for the mornings till lunch time and that’s when I was given more responsibilities.
  • I went from just cooking burgers and cleaning the kitchen to taking over a crew.
  • That tells you I’m a fast learner and always accomplish and duty given to me.
  • No matter the task I will complete it especially with a good hardworking team.
  • As an opening shift manager, I was in charge of opening the store alone setting all the machines up and running as well as making sure the crew from the night before completed all their duties so that way when the rest of the crew shows up that morning, we are all ready to go and open.
  • I had to not only help and cook but also take orders, clean the front tables and floor.
  • Make sure the bathrooms were well cleaned as well as outside in the parking lot and drive-thru area and the dumpster.
  • I also had to make sure each of my co workers were up to date with all foods and check on all the timers for everything and that we were stocked with what we needed not only for us but for those that were going to take over for the evening.
  • I had to make sure that the shift switch from breakfast to lunch was always done smoothly and kept our customers happy and pleased.

Head Cook & Cashier

Popeye's
04.2015 - 07.2016
  • I have plenty of experience when it comes to working in a kitchen especially frying and that is because I started working at Popeye’s at the age of 18 literally the day after my 18th birthday I applied and got hired right away and ended at the age of 19 due to medical issues.
  • I started off as a cook just for side dishes such as Mashed potatoes, Rice & Beans, Biscuits etc.…
  • Then I was moved up to head cook of the kitchen and was given lots of duties and responsibilities such as washing dishes, stocking the cooler and freezer, cooking the sides, making batter, setting up the flour, cleaning all the raw chickens, frying all the chickens and even doing the inventory.
  • A couple months later I started to learn how to expedite and work as a cashier and take orders at the same time from drive-thru to front counter.
