Work History

Automation Technician

Petra Automation
Carlsbad, NM
05.2024 - Current

I would be in charge of going out to any location that needed any parts replaced. I would also troubleshoot any issues with the screens not working properly and devices that would not show the correct readings or that would not turn on. I primarily worked with Automation direct equipment that used Direct soft program software for Direct logic 06 controllers and Do-more software for Direct logic 205 controllers, used C-more software for the automation direct HMI screens. I would preform preventative maintenance on facility that would have me check all the end devices are working and showing the correct information back to the HMI, check to see if there is any damaged conduit, pressure test devices to verify that needed alarms do become active when the high pressure is met. If there is any damaged end devices or broken flex I would direct an electrical crew to replace the damaged equipment. I am apart of a big project to add EYS pieces of conduit to all end devices in the containment and going back to PLC cabinet conduit. I would have to disconnect the wires that powered and/or would be used as communication wires in the end devices. I’d number the wires and written down the exact location the wire was landed to avoid any confusion so that the electrical crew could add the EYS on those conduits. After the electrical crew completed their part of the job I would go back to all devices and pull wires back into panel and re-land the wires. I would then label and loop check the devices.
