  • Work as a Supervisor, General Foreman, Foreman and Journeyman Lineman performing all aspects of line work, Overhead, Underground, Switching/Tagging, etc
  • Responsible for planning and running jobs, overseeing and leading peers/subordinates on a regular basis
  • Observe all safety rules and assist and question others to ensure that work is completed safely on a daily basis
  • Also work as a Contract Inspector for various utilities to ensure that they abide by and implement Utility Imposed safety rules and work practices

  • Worked as a Senior Transmission Oversight Specialist overseeing various jobs around FL being performed by Duke Energy’s contract partners
  • Job duties included on site contract administration and oversight of contract crews that were performing either construction or maintenance work on Duke Energy’s lines or substations
  • Responsible for overseeing contractors work/activities to ensure that they abided by Duke Energy’s safety rules as well as OSHA regulations and applicable permits and construction standards
  • Filled in as a Work Readiness Specialist and as a Crew Foreman, work included looking at jobs to ensure that they could be completed as planned/scheduled, checking material availability and readiness, coordinating with vegetation management to ensure tree trimming/removal is complete before crews arrive, verifying locates are valid and complete, requesting and scheduling Hot Lines/SWRs with DCC
  • Also worked as a point of contact for contractor jobs, assisted in resolving customer complaints, and in monitoring local outages to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner
  • Communicated and worked with design and engineering team on possible changes, and in making sure that jobs could be done efficiently while still adhering to Duke’s standards and design
  • Worked on the Transmission Maintenance Crew performing structure change-outs, insulator replacements, line patrols, outage restoration, line relocations, and assisting Construction or other Maintenance crews with large jobs/outages as needed
  • Operated a variety of equipment such as 125’ and 100’ buckets, spiral diggers, tractor trailers, dump trucks, lulls, etc
  • Received orders from ECC, and assisted other crew members in switching and in field verification of switching
  • Worked with Transmission design/engineering team to ensure that jobs could be completed on schedule and be worked as planned
  • Responsible for assisting to run/organize jobs and led peers/subordinates on a regular basis
  • Observed and assisted other team members in following all safety rules to provide a safe work place
  • Worked as part of the Distribution Construction and Maintenance team performing installation, operation, maintenance and repair of both energized and de-energized overhead and underground electrical power lines and systems
