  • Assisted with the annual update of PayTrain a tool consisting of 1,200 exercises and used to prepare individuals on payroll practices and prepare for as the project manager with Holmes Corp.   • Acted as workstream leader for Workday HRIS/Payroll implementation and Retro Pay automation. As a result, we successfully covered the transition from PeopleSoft to Workday on schedule, converting over 50,000 employees, including over 41 interfaces from various outsourced vendors and Finance.
  • Provided team leadership to a staff of 40 teammates (directly supervising 8 payroll professionals); providing training with a curriculum adapted to DaVita from Workday training materials.
  • Provided off-site to all 40 payroll staff in the Federal Way, WA location for Workday payroll and PeopleNet Time & Attendance systems, resulting in a smooth transition to Workday with no downtime and no missed payrolls.
  • Additionally, the HelpDesk was successful in handling all calls related to payroll, human resources, and benefits issues.
  • Kept staff current on state tax issues, federal tax changes, and all wages and hour compliance issues, resulting in fewer corrective actions resulting from name and/or address changes.
  • Managed process for Payroll SOX compliance.
  • Acted as payroll liaison with HRIS, People Services, Compensation, and Benefits for various bonus programs; provided management with reports and analysis for payroll expense line items. As a result, each department's HelpDesk handled 85% of the calls for each other's department's issues, and the 6 payroll professionals handled over 92% of all calls coming into payroll.
