  • Spanish Honor Society Club Secretary: A way for students to help and be helped by other students in their Spanish classes. As Secretary I would keep track of the clubs attendance and minutes per meeting.
  • Paws for Life Club Treasurer: Fundraises and volunteers at local shelters to ease any stress placed on the animals. As Treasurer I would keep track of the money earned.
  • Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps: Leadership Development class that teaches and instills responsibility, leadership skills, communication, and respect in each Cadet. Held a variety of leadership positions such as Platoon Commander, Armed Basic Team Commander.
  • Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán Club: Creates a safe community for first generation Latino Americans.
  • Rosa De Guadalupe Center Volunteer: Non profit organization to help low income families in need. I would volunteer there every summer.

Accomplishments

  • California Scholarship Federation: Accomplished and received for maintaining an A/B average and a 3.5 or higher GPA throughout High School.
  • Seal of Biliteracy: Earned for completing 4 years of Spanish with an A each semester, as well as receiving a 3 on the AP Spanish Test, and passing an interview with the AP Spanish Literature Teacher.
  • Leadership Academy Nominee: Selected to attend Leadership Academy, selected from the 8200 cadets enrolled throughout Southern California and parts of Arizona. Each selected cadet is expected to maintain physical fitness as well as leadership skills and traits. 7 days and 6 nights, all cadets selected were split up into 5 different platoons, and would train with Marine Corps Drill Instructors. After Leadership Academy each daet would be ready to lead their units the following school year.
