Awards

Winner: York Cultural Education Award - December 2016.

The York Culture Awards celebrate excellence in the arts and culture sector and reward outstanding innovation, creativity and quality. The award was made in recognition of an arts project developed within the Music Department at Fulford School and delivered alongside the Balbir Singh Dance Company, based in Leeds, The project was subsequently shared with our feeder primary schools to aid transition and to empower learners whilst leveling the playing field amongst our own cohort, with a particular focus on children in care . We were delighted to have been shortlisted, even more so to have been named the winners of this award, and we remain incredibly proud of the work of our students who helped to create such an engaging and impactful project.
