Oversaw and managed Intake and Pre-Litigation Departments. Managed a pre-litigation caseload of 500-600 cases along with case managers and supervisors. Determined whether a case should go into litigation. Assisted litigation attorneys on cases deemed appropriate for litigation. Built relationships with attorneys from other offices for referral of medical malpractice, nursing home, crashworthiness, and various other types of personal injury cases. Analyzed uninsured/underinsured policies to determine whether the policies complied with New Mexico law. Drafted and served tort claim notices to governmental entities. Before moving to Albuquerque from Indianapolis in 2011: worked on pre-litigation and litigation cases; assisted attorneys at trial; lead attorney on several litigation cases; deposed defendants, adjusters, and doctors.

Assisted attorneys in pre-litigation and litigation. Met with most new clients during the case intake process. From Sept '03 through May '07, I worked full-time at Keller & Keller and attended law school in the evenings Mon-Fri.
