• Performed legal research and prepared legal memoranda in connection with public utility litigation, regulatory affairs, transmission line interconnection agreements, and internal legal guidance related to management of the lower Colorado River & Highland Lakes and distribution of electric power throughout Central Texas.

• Conducted legal research, drafted legal memoranda, and observed litigation in connection with the representation of
municipal governments, groundwater conservation districts, and private entities in matters concerning water, air & waste, utility, regulatory, and administrative law; edited solid waste provisions of the Texas Practice Guide; participated in TCEQ DWAWG meetings.

• Carried out legal & legislative research for Senator West’s capitol office; discussed policy proposals with activists and lobbyists; assisted with initiating & filing legislation and analyzing bills referred to the Natural Resources & Economic Development committee, the Agriculture, Water, & Rural Affairs committee, and the Business & Commerce committee; assisted with speech writing; responded to constituent inquiries; summarized committee hearing testimony; drafted questions
for use in committee meetings and on the Senate floor.

• Performed legal research and prepared legal memoranda related to issues concerning annexation, municipal utilities,
municipal employment, & the Texas Open Meetings Act; assisted with drafting amicus briefs in support of municipal
governments engaged in appellate litigation throughout Texas.

• Aided assistant district attorneys in the Civil Rights Unit with trial preparations, depositions, & a grand jury impaneling; assisted the Conviction Integrity Unit with reviewing evidence and testimony connected to actual innocence claims.
