I am filled with great interest and enthusiasm about venturing into the medical field as a Sterile Processing Technician. I have no experience working as a Sterile Processing Technician, but I am currently pursuing online education while seeking on-the-job training to gain practical experience. In addition to this, I have acquired multiple skills that qualify me. I have been working in the fast-food business for six years. During my time working there, I've been able to move up in position as a shift leader. Working as a shift lead in the fast-food business has challenged me to organize and manage shifts efficiently, ensure that everyone on shift is following the company's policies and procedures, utilize communication skills, understand sanitization practices, manage inventory, and ensure that the restaurant is clean and safe. While advancing in the fast-food industry, I have invested in my own business as a certified lash technician, and I earned my Barbicide certification. Comparable to working in fast food, being a lash technician requires you to be extremely detail-oriented, follow proper infection control practices, adhere to industry standards, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients. Experience in dual roles highlights the importance of cleanliness, and commitment to ongoing education. I am very excited about the chance to change career paths from the fast-food industry and dedicate full time to becoming a successful SPT while contributing to saving lives.
