Previously, at Dick's Sporting Goods, I worked as a cashier and helped to check out customers. We would take care of the customer with their needs such as checking out, returning items, ordering things online, etc. Currently, I work with their trucks. I go in early and help to unload the truck shipments. I am then responsible for unboxing the apparel and putting the security tags on them. We then have to go through the clothes and hang the items that need it as well as fold the clothes that need folded. While doing this, I am also responsible for assisting other associates in their departments and helping the customers.
In the summers from 2012-2018 I worked as a volunteer for Vacation Bible School. I would be responsible of a group of children in kindergarten or 1st grade. We would be in charge of keeping the children behaving and respectful when going station to station. While we were in the station we had to help out the children in our groups complete the activity that was being done. We also had to help to engage them when they were sitting in the chapel in the beginning and the end of the day.
I was responsible for babysitting 2 girls ages 6 and 7. I would go over around 7 in the morning and watch them until about 4 in the afternoon. While their I was responsible for feeding the girls as well as keeping them entertained. We would also do educational activities to keep the girls engaged in school. We would read stories as well as do activity sheets. I would take the girls outside and play with the swing set as well as water activities. I would prepare the girls healthy snacks to eat in between breakfast and lunch as well as after lunch. They did not have screentime while I was there so it was hands on with activities.
I was responsible for watching my cousin, Colton. He would come over at 7 in the morning and then leave at around 5 or in the evening. I would be responsible for preparing his meals (breakfast, lunch, sometimes dinner, and snacks). He was allowed to have screentime for an hour and a half each day. While he was not on that I had to entertain him with fun activities. We would go out on the trampoline or swim in the pool when weather permitted. We would also do fun activities inside like playing boardgames. He had to complete at least 2 educational worksheets each day as well as read either one book or a chapter of a book each day.
