I have had the opportunity to grow and challenge myself in many different ways, I found myself with two small children and not even a clue how to operate a computer. I went back to school with a 5 year and a 3 month old and at age 52 earned myself a CNA degree. I have personal goals, to be able to use graphic design degree and I lost 86 pounds. A career goal has always been to learn new skills, even something small as making keys or learning banking software, although longevity at a job would also be a goal.
Worked with care team to improve quality of life in all Activities of Living. I promoted quality by working with care team to put client on pain patch, ordered special hospital bed for pressure ulcers, and managed swallowing/chocking difficulties by preparing specialized menus and shopping.
Used pharmacy software to manage not only prescriptions, but charge accounts. Set up displays and merchandise for sale. Unpacked orders and put price tags and correct labels on otc and any other products. Printed upc labels for products so that they would be recognized by point of sale registers and inventory.
Managed front desk by scheduling room reservations. Responsible for money from hotel side, restuarant side and safe money. Also had to make sure there was enough money in safe for poker machine payouts. Filled in for waitress and completed tip adjustment for food.
