The licensed practical nurse class nominated myself as a person they looked up to as I was always willing to help, lend an ear, and had a positive attitude. I continue to practice that approach throughout my journey as a medical professional today.

Truman University Preceptor of the Year Award

In 2006 I was nominated by students as the preceptor of the year and was given a plaque in commemoration. I precepted nursing students in home health and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the students.
