Accomplishments
Participation and completion of a nurse residency program with a required evidenced based practice project titled, "The Impact of Shift Huddles on Communication to Improve of Patient Outcomes." This project implemented huddles at beginning of shift to improve communication of staff and decrease adverse events for patients by developing a chart system that improved the closed loop communication of all members of the care team. During time on the progressive care unit, pressure injuries have dropped to their lowest value and CLABSI and CAUTI incidents have been reduced to almost 0%. Patients have reported exceptional care and have endorsed satisfaction with care to management.
