-Approve crime scene supplements and evidence submissions.
-Respond to crime scenes to supervise the Crime Scene Technicians.
-Create and maintain the daily and on-call schedule.
-Maintain supplies in the crime lab.
-Conduct weekly forensic trainings to Crime Scene Technicians and/or Detectives.
-Maintain proper work flow of the unit by assigning forensic requests to the Crime Scene Technicians.
-Solidify professional relationships with other neighboring Crime Scene Supervisors.
-Keep confidential documents on employee's work product and/or crime scene cases.
-Any additional duties as needed.
-Respond to major violent crime scenes and death investigations.
-Document the scene with note taking, sketches, photography, videography, measurements, latent fingerprint development, and DNA collection (highly proficient with the M-Vac).
-Document, detect, collect, process, and preserve physical evidence recovered from on crime scenes.
-Work closely with detectives, Medial Examiner's Office, and other neighboring agencies.
-I am proficient with processing major crime scenes with multiple scenes/victims and work well under extreme stress.
-Author detailed crime scene supplements.
-Attend autopsies as needed to collect major case prints and collect decedent evidence.
-Proficient with human osteology/forensic anthropology to determine if skeletal remains are human or animal.
-Process evidence collected from cold case homicides with the M-Vac. -Testify in depositions and trials.
-Train new hire Crime Scene Investigators.
-Respond to all crime scenes.
-Document the scene with note taking, sketches, photography, videography, measurements, latent fingerprint development, and DNA collection.
