As Manager of Export Operations, I oversee and lead all aspects of international shipping, regulatory compliance, and global trade execution. I ensure the seamless movement of goods across borders while maintaining strict adherence to U.S. and international export control regulations. I collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to deliver efficient, compliant, and cost-effective export solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead end-to-end export operations, including documentation, shipment coordination, and customs compliance.
Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations (EAR, OFAC, ITAR) and destination country import requirements.
Supervise export documentation processes (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, export declarations).
Review and approve export license requirements and support the application and maintenance of licenses.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to manage routing, transit times, and freight cost optimization.
Monitor and implement trade compliance policies and procedures aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.
Maintain and improve KPI metrics related to export timelines, shipping accuracy, and compliance performance.
Lead and develop export operations staff; provide training on procedures, trade regulations, and system use.
Conduct audits of export transactions and shipping records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Partner with internal departments (Sales, Logistics, Legal, Engineering, and Finance) to resolve export-related issues.
