• Provide care to the mother, her infant and family while encouraging a positive bonding attachment between the family units during labor, delivery and postpartum.
• Coordinate care of high risk patients experiencing medical complications, such as preeclampsia and fetal distress.
• Assist physicians and midwives during delivery, examination and surgical procedures by anticipating needs, encouraging patient, and attending to baby after birth.
• Support physicians in both planned and emergency Cesarean section procedures as a circulator RN.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment, ensuring optimal conditions for successful deliveries.

• Recover patients following cardiothoracic surgical procedures maintaining detailed records of patient conditions and progress in alignment with physician orders, policies, and evidence-based practice.
• Participate in daily rounds with physicians and healthcare staff from various disciplines, contributing valuable insights into patient conditions based on continuous assessments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in titrating vasoactive medications according to physician orders while closely monitoring hemodynamic parameters for early detection of adverse effects or trends that may require intervention or escalation of care.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, promoting adherence to medication regimens and reducing readmission rates.
• Enhance patient satisfaction with compassionate bedside manner and clear communication of treatment plans.

• Conduct group tutoring sessions to help students strengthen subject comprehension while building upon critical thinking skills crucial in nursing.
• Use personalized learning plans to guide students to deeper understanding of course material.
• Collaborate with professors to determine how best to support student success through the nursing program.

• Utilized critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess, plan, and deliver individualized care to high acuity medical/pulmonary patients.
• Closely monitored and managed emergencies of complex patients with a wide range of diagnoses including ventilator dependent respiratory failure, COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension, Acute Renal Failure, GI Bleed, DKA, Sepsis, and many others.
• Worked closely with the interdisciplinary team including nursing, case management, social work, pharmacy, hospitalists, and consultants.
• Provided holistic patient care that was patient and family centered, ensured patient comfort, and provided education related to medications and disease processes.
