Treatment includes using FDA approved anti-obesity medications, dietary and exercise counseling, and generating interdisciplinary referrals (counseling, physical therapy, Bariatric surgery, etc..) as needed.
  • Manage obesity related comorbid conditions such as T2DM, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
  • Collaborate with registered dietitians, Bariatric surgeons, and other NP/PA obesity medicine providers
  • Screen for rare genetic diseases of obesity, such as Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS), in both the pediatric and adult population and treat with FDA approved medication or facilitate enrollment in clinical trials if eligible.
  • Participate in community speaking events with goal to raise awareness of obesity as chronic disease and surgical and non-surgical treatments available for this condition.
  • Organize and host monthly Bariatric support groups, both in-person and virtual.
