I started this position with no experience in the field.
I was trained on the job to fabricate dental appliances.
My duties included:
-Fabrication of custom trays and bite rims.
-Fabrication of occlusal appliances.
-Fabrication of bleaching trays.
-Fabrication of invisible retainers.
-Plasterwork for each individual case.
-Investing and processing denture cases.
As years went on I became more administrative.
My duties began to include:
-Booking in dental cases, usually between 30-40 daily.
-Dealing with dental offices on the phone to answer technical questions and provide return dates.
-Calling about specific cases missing critical information.
-Assist the occasional walk in patients with repairs.
-Shipping and receiving cases.
I still do technical work but most of my day consists of the administrative/shipping and receiving part of the job.
I also occasionally fill in for pickups and deliveries.
Overall, I manage my time well and make sure whatever needs to be done for the day gets done.
My responsibilities were to answer calls from customers who utilized landline and mobile phones and provide them with business phone numbers and addresses they requested in a timely manner.
In this position I was a head cashier and occasionally stocked shelves if needed.
