Letter of Commendation, Sparrow Hospital

During routine examination of an OB/GYN Oncology case, I found a segment of ureter in the container with a lymph node.  I performed a quick frozen section and showed the pathologist.  He immediately called the surgeon.  The patient was taken back to the OR and the transected ureter was repaired.

The next day the surgeon came down to the lab and personally thanked me for my expertise in observation and dissection skills: as well as my quick response in patient care.
