Project: Pixel Tablet, Nest Thermostat, Nest Doorbell, Nest Cam (Outdoor), Nest Floodlight, Starline (20% project)

• Own end-to-end optical systems specifications of variable Pixel and Nest products.
• Collaborate with internal and external team and partners to deliver last optics technology from concept to NPI to MP.
• Drive NTI project with cross-functional teams to deliver prototype and review with leadership to land the solution into the final products.
• Design optical system with key stakeholders (ID, UX, PD, EE, Testing, etc.) and validate with simulation.
• Setup optical material IQC/OQC with quality team to improve the project sustainability.
• Traveled to CM sites to support and lead the build, provide prompt resolutions to issues.

Leading NIO lighting advance technology programs (µLED, DLP, MLA, RGBi, etc.). From LED selection, electronics design to optical design and mechanical packaging.

• Review latest technology with external partners, define the advance lighting function with styling and product planning team.
• Design headlight module to lamp with styling team and supplier, issue drawing based on different milestone.
• Pre-development from concept to validation. Define and validate the system integration, platform, I/O and related system (ADAS, gateway, etc.).
• Running optical simulation, to improve optical efficiency and achieve styling image and regulation.
• Perform hardware and software validation, including schematic, ECU, EEPROM and communication.
• NIO first vehicle ES8 lighting parts launching. Support NIO China, supplier, factory to fix production and manufacturing issue (QAV, DVP&R, headlight aiming).

Project: 2016 Model Acura NSX, Honda Civic, 2018 Model Acura TLX and TLX-L (China LWB version), lighting control ECU (ADB, AFS, RGB interior lighting, ALV control ECU)

• Develop lighting related parts (LED Exterior/Interior Lighting, LED Control Unit, Ambient light, AFS, etc.).
• Create and manage the part development schedule with consideration to all parties (IIHS, suppliers, Honda designers, overall vehicle development).
• Correlate with cross function group (BCM, exterior, interior, electric, etc.) to create RASIC, join development, feasibility study and system definition.
• Work with all parties to develop Specifications for all lighting parts and check the PV/DV test result. Decide necessary countermeasure for designers and suppliers.
