Work History

Intern, Student Research Apprenticeship Program

Pacific Northwest National Lab
01.2021 - 01.2021
  • Worked in the Environmental Biogeochemistry Group, within the Energy and Environment Directorate through the Department of Energy
  • Mentor Dr. Chinmayee V. Subban, PhD; Research Scientist, Coastal Sciences Division
  • Performed research identifying parameters of coastal water sensors (temperature, pH, etc.) to determine feasibility of using salinity gradient energy source
  • Wrote Department of Energy Report “Salinity Gradients for Coastal Monitoring”

Intern

The Lands Council
01.2022 - 01.2022
  • Worked to support Environmental Restoration Program, which aims to improve riparian buffers to improve water quality and ecological diversity adjacent to local rivers, creeks, and watersheds
  • Collected data at previously restored riparian sites. Site monitoring for optimum age class, density, species diversity, and canopy cover included: counting the number of plantings, creating a vegetation species list (native vs. invasive species), measuring the height of key indicator flora, and building beaver dam analogs to limit water level rise and protect wetlands

Eastern Washington University
01.2018 - 01.2022
  • Worked in Department of Physical Therapy, mentor Dr. Kimberly Cleary, PT, PhD
  • Performed data collection, entry, and analysis along with lab facilities and equipment preparation.
  • Disseminated research results by writing abstracts, writing journal articles and preparing and presenting posters, slides, and videos

Co-Founder and Executive Director

Through the Eyes of a Child Photography
01.2008 - 01.2022
  • Began taking photographs at the age of 5 - landscapes, wildlife, and architectural images
  • Sold photographic products with proceeds benefitting Shriners Hospitals for Children
