ANTHONY CUADROS

I'm Anthony Cuadros. I'm a Colombian artist/illustrator based out of Long Island, New York. I love making artwork that highlights not only my Colombian culture, but culture around the world. Music is also a huge influence in my work, I love to listen to a wide variety of music.

Primarily I work in acrylic paint, spraypaint and digital. I aspire to paint huge murals all over the world, and work in the music industry. I've always been fascinated with album artwork. I'd love to work alongside musicians to make their visual representation of their hard work as perfect as possible.

• Painted a free mural spontaneously in Colombia on a vacation. I received permission from the local government to paint after professionally presenting my concept and my reasoning for the mural. They've invited me back to paint more walls next time I'm in town. It was the first time I used spray paint on an entire body of work, it came out great.
• My first mural was a commemoration for a friend of mine who passed. This was without permission, but it had to be done. Shortly after the painting was finished I received praise from the boys family, and the town. I solidified this beautiful souls legacy at the skatepark he spent all his time at.
• I worked for the Fashion Institute of Technology on an event at Bloomingdales in Soho. I was hired to create NYC/fashion related illustrations on tote bags for customers who spent over $150. This was my first taxable, paid art job, and it was highly successful. All the customers were delighted with their custom bags.
