I worked security at agency one of the Capitol buildings

Working the desk to check people for what agency they were looking for and I had a list on my emails of who was permitted and the time and agency.Many people who arrived had no idea of the procedure to go to the agency . Part of my job was to explain the procedure to visit the agency.Many of the people were very hostile and part of the job was to reason with them.

At tord the end of my shift on my computer I was to report the days events

• Monitored and authorized entrance and departure of vehicles, cargo trucks, and visitors.

• Acted quickly during emergency situations to reduce opportunity for damage and injury.
• Checked identification of persons entering and exiting facility to eliminate unauthorized visitors.
• Reported suspicious activities and persons to law enforcement.
• Checked and verified photo identification prior to granting facility access.
• Wrote detailed reports on property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons and unusual incidences.
• Executed security rules and procedures and calmly and promptly escorted non-compliant individuals out of building.
• Monitored and authorized entrance and departure of vehicles, cargo trucks, and visitors.
• Patrolled and monitored premises in company vehicle, on bicycle, and by foot.
• Screened individuals and prevented passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Answered alarms, investigated disturbances, and contacted law enforcement personnel to escalate crises.

As a Security officer I worked at Aviation Mall I would patrol the

Corridors of the mall and the walkway behind the stores

Every other hour I would patrol the parking lot around the mall.

Worked from gate house checking trucks coming in and out . This was at Sysco food delivery company.All Sysco trucks were were allowed in with no stopping.All other trucks deliveries

Had to show paperwork to be allowed on grounds.Therr were no deliveries after 2:00 pm which I had to explain to the drivers and that they were not allowed to park overnight on property grounds

I was responsible for logging in all deliveries.I also monitored severance cameras for all active on company grounds

Checking people in checking for any thing not promoted (knifes guns anything could harm anyone

Patroled area for any type of disturbance .

Worked exit for any one to enter

For this company I was sent on many different types of jobs.

Here is a list of jobs I was sent on some only lasting a day.

Many of my jobs were to be one of the security officers at the events held at the Saratoga Springs Civic Center . Basically some events were companies showing there products. other events would be larger parties held by many organizations.Example of some events were a beer tasting , another a tattoo show and one was a event called com con.

They would hold large dinner parties for a special guest.

The main job was to patrol the whole area to watch for any thing out of the unusual

I also was the security officer for the Saratoga Racing Museum for all special events many during the racing season. Many times I would be asked to fill in for the guard at Blue Shield headquarters doing the late shift mainly at front desk not allowing

anyone in. With out proper identification.I also did the same type of job at the headquarters for Key Bank in Albany

Other times I would be helping the security at Hudson Valley Community College when they needed extra help with parking?

Working the Saratoga county Fair patrolling the fair grounds for any thing unusual.also working the gates to get in or out keeping unticked people out.Sent many times to different events at hotelsI worked a manufacturing place and wearhouse weekends patrolling the entire buildings

At times I would be sent to do assets protection at different types of stores like larger grocery stores and clothing stores
