
About 10 years as a mechanic in the refinery industry mostly on maintenance and shut downs. I believe I have strong qualities to proceed my career for operations . I am very familiar with the mechanical side at World Energy and I am very eager to learn and work with the processes side . As lead mechanic on maintenance at World Energy I have overseen crews of 8 to12 on shut downs and projects as a foreman. Overseeing work such as Walking out and identifying lines and equipment for isolation. Also installing and pulling blinds, on reactors , vessels, drums , and exchangers , installing heads and torquing on reactors , pulling exchanges ,installing exchangers. Isolating compressors , isolating heaters and open doors , overseen demo and new piping jobs in the reformer unit . Also overseen some project jobs such as the chemical flush in the crude unit the demo at the SRU and the old compressor deck. Performed daily maintenance tasks at World Energy for over 10 years.
Helper for 1 year (DUTIES) Fire watch, Hole watch, Tooling and setup, assist Welder and Layout Fitter with measurements, fitting, cutting and grinding and beveling pipe.
Mechanic for maintenance and shut downs (DUTIES) Follow LOTO procedures, opening process equipment and closing-Vessels, Exchangers, Tanks and Pipe Lines, Breaking flanges, removing or replacing pumps and valves for new construction and overseen the chemical flush for the demo of the old crude unit. Also worked on NRG Pant boilers.
Shift work with OPERATIONS at PPC Paramount (DUTIES) Operated Rail Car Track Mover for Tallow rail cars. Lined up rail cars for steaming and hook up suction hoses , Operated valves and pumps for offloading Tallow to tanks, monitor levels and temperatures, pulled samples, obtained and filled necessary paperwork for AQMD RULE 1166 for procedures and records.
Shift work at Long Beach Edgington Operating the Waste Water Plant (DUTIES) Operate process equipment to purify and clarify water to the county outfall, add chemicals such as bleach , peroxide and polymer, Operated valves and pumps and Wemco skimmer, monitor levels and gauging tanks, pulled samples to check for pH and sulfide levels, assist Lab tech with sample, clean and monitor ditches, record readings for AQMD RULE 1166 and change charts.
Shift work at INEOS Olefns and Polymer plant assisting operations making plastic (DUTIES) Assist operations with batches adding additives to mixer/blender for processing plastic, loading and offloading additives, water wash silos for product change, monitor and change pellet bins, follow LOTO procedures opening chunk catcher, vent port, and to change out filters, pull plastic for shutdowns and star ups. Help with daily maintenance and house keping. Assist operations as needed on shift work.

After working with Total Western I got hired into World Energy as a lead mechanic.I than transferred to operations and completed my training and became a utility operator.So for the last 2 year's going on 3 I've been a utility operator.In that time Air Products bought out the company and I switched over but still as a utility operator.My task were as followed.Monitor the boilers,Air plant,Waste water plant, Incinerator and heaters. Pull samples run test make adjustments inspect equipment pumps, control valves, pressure, Flow ,and level inspection, monitor the board Delta V and monitor trends on PI, trouble shoot.Working rotating shifts, and participate in the ERT program.
