Work History

Area #1 Team Lead

MPC
11.2021 - Current
  • Led cross-functional teams to enhance operational workflows and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Mentored junior staff, fostering professional development and enhancing team performance.
  • Implemented process improvements that streamlined operations and increased productivity metrics.
  • Developed strategic initiatives to align team goals with organizational objectives, ensuring cohesive efforts across departments.

Day Foreman

MPC
09.2019 - 11.2021
  • The daylight Foreman position had previously not had a role in day to day operations. One of my first goals was to change this interaction, to stabilized oils planning and routine maintenance with the four operation shifts. As a result of this change, my interaction with all area #1 shifts has increased as has my interactions with the other operating areas.
  • During the initial refinery rate reductions, I worked with the Area team to recirculate vacuum unit feed safely and efficiently and to reduce the standing Reformer minimum charge rate. This allowed the Kenai refinery operation to remain uninterrupted thru the initial phases of the pandemic.
  • I have participated and led several one-off repair projects (E-170, E-153/4, T-108).
  • Influence in Tar 2020 planning helped deliver achievable goals and safe unit conditions.
