I have bounced around quite a bit in my career and career choice.
from line cook to construction worker to a hybrid of both.
shortly after i began my non union apprenticeship i got a call from my old boss at red raven Jen Apizidis. She asked if i would be interested in working part time for cash during my apprenticeship 2-3 shifts between 12-18 hours a week and i was happy to help out. they needed reliable employees and in the beginning of the apprenticeship money is usually pretty tight. i worked there consistently for roughly 2 years give or take up from the beginning of march 2021 until around june of 2023. the restaurant was taken over bye a new owner and shortly after that closed down. Luckily one of the union foreman liked me and while the restaurant was closed down he kept me very busy working on a few shifts on the side in a commerical job he took on as a side job he has been running. this job recently ended. i am moving into a new apartment and looking to continue to work as a hybrid construction worker part time cook.
