Anthony Martinez

-Although I am only a student who is still fostering their knowledge in the work world, I have taken initiative in building my career paths. I go out of my way to learn and explore areas new to me outside my comfort zone. I have successfully led a classroom lesson in a peer leadership program during middle school, successfully acquired over 100+ votes for high school sophomore vice president during freshman year, and have practiced public speaking by becoming announcer over the morning PA system for school wide events. Additionally, by becoming sophomore president I’ve practiced my team management and event planning skills. Outside of school, I’ve made my way into the work experience by personally applying for a culinary internship; in doing so, have already acquired sufficient knowledge and experience in a job and how to professionally behave in a work environment. I’m eager to learn alongside my studies which I work hard on to have gotten into AP, Honor, and Supa level classes. And I will continue to do my best eagerly learning and developing my skills to outperform and excel in any area I am assigned to.

• Collaborated with team of ~20 in the development of School Events. (Team building/management, Event planning)
• Personally hosted lesson for peer class of ~25 in a peer leadership program during middle school (Leadership, Public speaking)
• Achieved online group communication by introducing media group-chats for team building tasks. (Team management, Media)

-I can well advertise and portray the desired influence/action through appealing visual, audio, or self presentation. I have no problem standing in front of a crowd and clearly, efficiently represent my feature/product with ease. In addition to well representing through personal attendance, I can create informative, enticing, and organized presentations and documents that are interest and eye catching through color/images, structure, vocabulary, editing, and audio assistance.

-I have presented myself through public speaking in front of many large groups during classes in which I was not well affiliated with fellow students. Publicly broadcasting myself and my intentions both in person and through online video presentation to acquire votes for a student council position. Obtaining 100+ votes from multiple grades, securing Sophomore Vice President during freshman year.

-Through presentations and read-alouds, recommended by several teachers- I applied and attained the position of Public Announcer over the school speaker system. In the mornings I will go down to the staff room and gather events and informative papers and read them aloud for the entirety of the school. I speak in a clear voice, yet I love to change it up with fun, ear grabbing tones and events. Changing things up to remain fresh and entertaining. I've received many compliments and recognition from staff and students praising my voice in comparison to the two other alternating announcers, stating how I can brighten their day and bring a delightful sense of cheer.
