  • As a member of the department staff oversee all operations of assigned fire station including all three shifts with two Lieutenants assigned under my command. Duties include: managing apparatus and their inventories, ordering of supplies, performance evaluations, completing and submitting reports, scheduling facility maintainence, assigning tasks to suboordinates, scheduling pre-fire inspections and complex maps, daily staffing assignments, responding to emergency calls for service and supervising crews, developing,coordinating and delivering training to crews.
  • Acting District Chief: in the absence of the District Chief act in that position where I over see an entire fire district consisting of five fire stations consisting of eleven fire companies. Duties of this rank include shift payroll, assigning overtime, daily shift staffing, Q/A of reports, over all incident command at large scale emergency's and commnd level decision making as the second highest city official after business hours and on weekends.
  • Manage purchasing of essential supplies with city issued P-card.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and provide input for policy and SOP change.
  • Serve as a member of the Command Staff in the EOC during hurricanes and natural disaster.
