At international Paper i am a Maintenance mechanic class A, which means i'm a multi craft technician. I regularly work on all components of a corrugation plant which includes starch systems, our corrugator and all of our converting machines. we are responsible for trouble shooting all of our equipment electrically or mechanically.

We follow a strict Preventative maintenance program which entails of a detailed inspection and very detailed lubrication program in order to reduce down time and ensure our machines run smoothly.

I am currently the Mitsubishi Evols main champion and am very proud of what we were able to do with the machine. 2 years ago when i started the machine was producing only 40,000 boxes a shift and now with alot of work with the black shirts and MHI we are producing an average of 80,000 to 90,000 boxes a shift.

International Paper has also sent me to a hand full of trainings they offer which include basic electrical class, boiler class and multiple Evol classes and rebuilds.

I left Kadant Johnson to focus more on learning heavy Industries mechanical work, my former boss started his own company which would focus more on mechanics work for instance removing large drive gears and setting large motors, shaft alignment. Overhauls on paper machines ( mostly with the piping, drive gears, and internal components of a pressure vessel) along with changing out drive felts and other large and tedious paper mill related jobs.

While working for Kadant Johnson I was responsible for performing maintenance on paper machines across the United States . The skills I used most was pipe fitting, rigging, trouble shooting mechanical issues.
