Manages the daily activities of Security Supervisors, Corrections Officers and probationers in a correctional setting. Supervises and monitors staff on assigned shift to ensure a safety and security. Leads and counsels staff. Coordinates work schedules and assigns duty rosters for assigned shift. Contributes to administration of performance management system for staff. Conducts ongoing inspections to maintain, security, sanitation and good working order of the facility. Interacts with management, staff, visitors, probationers, and the public to maintain orderly and secure operations. Alternates the duties of administrative duty officer with the superintendent, major/ assistant superintendent as needed making work site visits in the community to monitor the work progress of probationers.

Conducts ongoing inspections to maintain, security, sanitation and good order of the institution. Interacts with management, staff, visitors, offenders and the public to maintain orderly and secure operations.

Provides immediate supervision to correctional officers and trainees. Monitors and supervises staff on assigned shift to ensure safety and security within a correctional setting. Communicates with the public, staff, management, visitors, and inmates. Through management leads and counsels staff.

Provides for the safety and security of the public, staff, and inmates through safe and effective custody and control within compliance of policy and procedures. Provide security of adult inmates while at the facility and on transport; supervise the daily activities of inmates through observation and recording of behavior and movement in order to provide safe and secure confinement.
