Summary

I am a motivated and student-centered teacher, offering 20+ years of professional experience, seeking the position of technology teacher. As an educator of technology I look forward to educating students on digital citizenship, STEM design, coding and exploring current trends in AI that are applicable for our upper elementary students in order to help students become more self-directed learners, while also fostering creativity, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

In my current role of an elementary teacher I have planned, organized, and taught from our standard-based curriculum here in WWP. I have monitored progress of my students by using various assessments to ascertain and teach to their individual student needs. I have earned high marks for the quality and creativity of my classroom instruction, management, and the various instructional materials I use to foster and motivate students to be independent learners. I have instructed both general education students and those with learning challenges and special needs within a mainstreamed classroom. Lastly, I am proud of the positive, collaborative relationships I have established at Village with students, parents, fellow teachers, and school administrators/staff.
