I come from a Spanish speaking family who often needed help translating at doctor appointments or other places. Alex was born with cerebral palsy and would also experience seizures. We often visited Children's Of Alabama in Birmingham, I saw the amazing things they would do for him which motivated me to one day because a "light of hope" to others just how the staff there were to us. I am currently at Calhoun Community College working my way up to get my Associate's Degree in Nursing.
