• Contributions to research included: Detailing the step-by-step process through which Abeta42 and Tau protein cause neuronal cell death in Alzheimer's patients by studying the individual effects of over-expressed Abeta42 and Tau on autophagy using Drosophila eye as a model system.
• Responsibilities include: Forming hypotheses, performing genetic crosses, dissections, interpretation of experimental results, and drawing conclusions all in an attempt to use the acquired data to better understand the causes of Alzheimer's disease in humans.
