  • I was granted the amazing opportunity to work with Veronica Gonzalez at the NHP Foundation, through the Illinois Housing Committee'S (IHC) emerging leader summer internship from May 2023 until August 2023. I learned so much about affordable housing development processes from the real estate development phase, property management, resident services, construction management, and so much more. This experience amplified my passion and drive for creating more sustainable and affordable housing as it is a majorly complex and important issue affecting millions of people in an unjust way.
