- Worked behind the deli counter, made sandwiches, sliced meat and cheese, served customers, washed dishes, prepared grab-and-go, cleaned tables, performed side-jobs like building a fruit stand, driving to buy and pick up goods, hanging streamers and delivering fuel.
- One accomplishment I'm proud of was when I was instructed to drive back and forth to transport diesel fuel, I was only given a 5gal container and needed 50gal; so I stopped at an AutoZone to look for bigger containers, but was directed to a Mennonite farm seven minutes behind the market owned by a friend of the worker who gave out 20gal containers for free. I went there and picked up three before returning to get gas. My boss told me he could use as many 20gal containers as possible, so the following shift, I stopped by at the end of my next shift to pick up 7 more.
- My boss made me the store "pastor" (which was funny, because he himself is a pastor and I'm a relatively new Christian) to pray over the store every morning at 9am for 15 minutes and check in with co-workers to see if there was anything I could pray on for them.
- Could only work for one month because I needed to return to Michigan, but I was fully trained.
