i Graduated in the philippines and volunteer as Respiratory Therapist on hospitals but never achieved to work on that goals bec i immigrate here with 3 small children and i have an opportunity to work with no certification at first in medical field which i enjoyed so much and making money as well to put something on the table.. not really my expertise as an aide
i said i only love not much means that there is not a lot of things i enjoyed in my life bec i was caught of being a mother on my early age and as the only girl in my family ..our culture teaches me to be responsible as older sibling when parents not around...not providing financially bec when my mom left us and i was 10 years old and my youngest brother is 10 months..rather than playing outside and enjoying to be a young.. i started to learn how to cook clean wash cloths and responsible while my dad working out of the country and it continues until i got pregnant when i was 18 -i thought i can get out of life i had and be like my friends free to enjoy myself but instead more hardship of having a child of my own while in college and as i graduated more responsibilities and trials i encountered...2005 when we came here with my children through my parents{dad and step mom)..America is so different from home that everything here has a price and i felt that no one will totally can help me and my children until i got situated so i can go back in school to take refresher course and be licensed therapist so my cousin helped me to work in the nursing home as aide..its not easy working double shift 6 days a week and after 17 years i see the fruit that i planted when my 2 sons that lived in San Diego graduated bachelors with honors and deans list all the time and my daughter graduated BS Biology Magna Cum Claude at Seton Hall last May..I always taught them phrases that i emply in my life like... If you do something..do your best or don't do it at all / Why do tomorrow if you can do it now /In life all you have to think is be the best and God will do the rest..so being said not much i enjoyed life but being home cook do all household chores and watching tv..
In 17 years working as an aide ive learned a lot of things like time managing, communication, patience, be deligent ,handling and solving the situation, professionalism and HIPPA law..dealing with our senior citizen needs a lot of time and understanding but i know there are a lot more things to learn in life and job..i wanted to change my profession not working so much hours anymore physically bec i wanted to have my own time now to take care of me so i dont have no experience for remote jobs but im eager to learn new things.
