Training & conferences

  • Advanced fluorescence Microscopy, Department of Zoology West Bengal State University
  • Bioinformatics from sequence and structural perspectives, Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at University of Kalyani
  • Advanced Bioinformatics & NGS-Chip seq data Analysis, ArrayGen Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Research

  • Investigating the pro-apoptotic and antimetastatic activities of eugenol and capsaicin in gastric carcinoma, Cell cycle assay, Annexin V, co-immunoprecipitation of caspase9-cytochrome c and western blot analysis showed that both the phytochemicals exhibit anti-proliferative activity by inducing apoptosis.
  • Investigating the role of TGFβ induced invasion and metastasis by upregulating LINC00273 and modulating miR200a/zeb1 feedback loop, In this project we determined the novel target LINC00273 that promotes cancer metastasis.
  • Targeting Oncogenic RAS Signaling in NF1-associated Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor, Using loss/gain of function studies, we demonstrate that NF1 negatively regulates RAS/ERK signaling through C/BRAF.

Accomplishments

  • Got 3rd position in a oral presentation of GCCRI Research Retreat 2024.
