years of professional experience

Biomedical Engineering graduate student with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, along with minors in Electrical Engineering and Business Management. Hands-on experience in implantable medical devices, wireless power transfer, and analog circuit and PCB design. Experienced in academic research with a foundation in signal processing, biomedical instrumentation, and experimental validation. Seeking opportunities in biomedical R&D where technical design, interdisciplinary collaboration, and translational impact are central.

Work History

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCHER

2 Years 4 Months
Case Western Reserve University | 01.2024 - 05.2026
  • Build Electronics For Experiments In Neural Engineering in Dr. Dominique Durand's Lab
  • Develop a wireless charging mechanism for a Li-Ion battery in biomedical implant of a live rat that delivers neural stimuli and records neural and ECG responses.
  • Conducted scientific literature survey of different wireless power transfer techniques for use in biomedical implants to determine an appropriate method for use in the prototype for our experiment.
  • Designed a wireless charging system using a 4 coil magnetic resonance coupling system which helps in power transfer from a Class E Power Amplifier to a receiver coil embedded inside a biomedical implant.
  • Completed the schematic design, PCB layout and fabrication of the prototype receiver circuit.
  • Working on the experimental setup to test and characterize the wireless charging circuit.
  • Designed and built electronics for experiments to test carbon nanotube electrodes implanted in the nerve fascicles of a pig.
  • Assisted my mentor, a PhD student, during surgeries to implant the electrodes.
  • Studied wireless charging characteristics for use in pulse oximeters.

CAMPUS TOUR GUIDE

2 Years 8 Months
Case Western Reserve University | 09.2023 - 05.2026
  • Conducted engaging campus tours three times a week, showcasing university history and academic programs to diverse groups.
  • Built personal relationships with guests to promote positive experiences.
  • As a member of the four guide leadership team, I trained five new four guides on best practices, fostering a cohesive team environment and consistent messaging.

MARKET RESEARCH INTERN

3 Months
CSW Therapeutics | 05.2025 - 08.2025
  • Assist my team to explore market potential in the United States for CSW's non-invasive therapeutic solution for refractory angina
  • Conducted a comprehensive literature search of market landscape for refractory angina in the United States.
  • Reached out to multiple cardiologists and interviewed Dr. Asad at TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN to gain qualitative insights on refractory angina treatments and potential uses for a CSW shockwave therapy device.
