I worked on my mom's unit, as a night nurse at the advent health celebration campus. I was able to see what she and her other coworkers do daily and helped them as much as I could. I worked on the little tasks that I was able to do as I was not able to have that much patient interaction due to me being just a volunteer. When I had a chance for patient interaction, I could talk with them and even see how healthcare providers talk with their patients about treatment plans, future surgeries, etc. It was great to here so many stories and so many different reasons why people come to the hospital.

I was able to work over the summer at my local pizza hut. I worked on a lot of things there during my time but mainly as a cook. At times the manager needed me to work as a cashier due to other coworkers calling out or just being too busy. I was able to make pizzas, and any other item on the menu, sometimes box pizzas, sometimes prepare pizzas or dough for the next business day for Pizz, Hut, or occasionally clean the store at times. It never got repetitive and we were always working on whatever task we had to complete. This lasted a few months because I had to focus on school work but I got a lot of valuable experience in customer service, patience, and so much more.
