I am a passionate and driven student currently pursuing a double major in Government with an emphasis in Legal Studies and Justice studies at Grand canyon University. My academic focus revolves around understanding the complexities of immigration systems and policies, as well as the role data plays in shaping legal outcomes and social justice initiatives. Through my coursework and hands-on experience in policy analysis, legal research, and community advocacy, I’ve developed a strong skill set in critical thinking, data analysis, and effective communication. I am deeply committed to using my education and experiences to contribute to meaningful work that supports immigration reform and promotes justice for underserved communities.
As a college athlete, I have honed my time management and leadership skills, balancing the demands of competitive sports with rigorous academic coursework. This experience has instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, perseverance, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. My commitment to excellence has been recognized through multiple awards, showcasing my dedication both in the classroom and on the field.
Beyond athletics, I have been actively involved in several cultural groups on campus, where I have worked to foster inclusivity, support, and collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to participating in these groups, I took the initiative to create my own student organization aimed at providing a safe and welcoming space for immigrant families. This group offers a platform for individuals to share their experiences, seek support, and connect with others facing similar challenges. I also founded a safe space for international students, helping them feel more involved in campus life and supported in their transition to a new culture and academic environment.
These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of community, empathy, and creating spaces where people can thrive. They have further fueled my passion for working with immigrant populations and contributing to projects that promote inclusion and social justice.
