My job was to oversee and protect all aspects and facets of worship including, song choice, scheduling, personnel choice, team members, sound and equipment. It was also my responsibility to make sure our mission, vision, and standards were being withheld by the team, as a unit and personally. To equip and educate new members and the team about what worship is, their duty as the worship team and how to usher in the presence of God and to remove yourself from the equation so the holy spirit can have His way. The coordination and planning of events, such as youth camps, women's conferences, outreaches and other conferences pertaining to worship was my responsibility as Worship Pastor, as well. Training people up to be worshippers in spirit and in truth and train them to be attentive to the Holy Spirit and to your Pastor to see and know where the direction of the service is going and to adjust accordingly. And most importantly to understand the weight you carry as part of the team because our job is to bring the congregation into the throne room of God and to uplift and glorify the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and NOT ourselves.
