Nominee for Daisy Award 2024

In 2024 I was nominated by a patient for a Daisy Award, I followed a stroke patient from a sister hospital where I was the only one available to administer Alteplase during a active stroke, road in the ambulance during transfer to Saint Joesph main and followed her throughout her stay and rehab. This patient was actually aired on television with the neurologist about her experience at Saint Joseph Hospital while experiencing a stroke. Later in the year I was invited to Rupp Arena to hear her speak about her experience and was brought on stage and commended for my quick actions in her care. This was an eye opening experience bringing back the basics of why I chose a career in the nursing field, to advocate and care for the patient.
