• Handle all records requests, video discovery requests, video / 911 call redactions, public records requests, background checks,
• Enter Linn County issued Warrants into National Crime Information Center
• Update and validate NCIC protection orders and warrants
• Register / Update / Maintain registrants on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry
• Process gun permit applications utilizing Permitium and NCIC
• Assist Upper Command with the beginning meetings on new records management system & computer aided dispatching system

• Team Leader for a group of eight 911 operators.
• Assist operators in the handling of emergency calls and dispatching police, fire and medical personnel.
• Provide guidance and leadership for operators to continue their growth for the department.
• Update and maintain monthly remedial training for all communication operators.
• Assist in recruiting new operators through testing processes and interviews. Assess and evaluate candidates based on job requirements, knowledge, and skills. Recommend candidates for management staff.
• Conduct bi-weekly Training Meetings with Certified Training Operators, offer guidance and assistance to new training operators during 16 weeks of field training.
• Assist Communication Manager with evaluations of employees and conducting remedial training.
• Assist Communication Manager with budgetary expenditures.
• Maintain and update payroll and schedule for Communication Center Operators
• Design, develop and implement Tyler Technologies computer aided dispatch system as well as records management system.
• Experience with E-911, Text to 911 and Next Generation 911.
• Terminal Agency Coordinator – Coordinate validations and handle notices from the Department of Public Safety. Maintain records for all users of NCIC keeping track of testing records and manual updates. Handle audits conducted by DPS.

• Answer 911 emergency and administrative calls to the City of Marion Police Department.
• Dispatch Police, Fire and Medical personnel to locations within the city limits.
• Utilize multi-channel Harris radio system.
• Utilize the National Crime Information Center to run and log appropriate information into the records management system and computer aided dispatch software.
• Conduct background checks, records requests, parking ticket fines, and register bicycles.
