Description

  • As a cashier job is to attend to the customers with amazing customer service and help them have a smooth transaction without a problem, helping them out if needing to find a certain item or helping them get something down from the shelves.
  • If there is ever conflict we are to try to resolve it on our own however if needed we will get a manager to help.
  • As cashiers, we are also to remember our product codes so that we don't have to spend so long looking for them.
  • On morning shifts, since it's not so busy, they have us help out our Stockers by stocking up our shelves.
  • Not to be on our phones and earbuds to fully have our attention on our customers.
  • We are also to promote our sale items
  • If we are to work the night shift we are to clean up our store to make it look nice for the next day

Responsibilities

  • Check to make sure the money we are given is authentic and to know what to do when it's fake
  • Giving the right amount back to our customers
  • When going to get more change to be safe and aware of our surroundings to avoid someone stealing
  • Making sure our area is clean, taking out our trash when our shifts are about to end
  • When going to our medicine or locked merchant make sure we are the ones holding the item and locking it back
  • Having to check and verify ID when selling alcohol or tobacco substance
  • To know how to fix our machines when certain things stop working (our scanner, our printer, etc)
  • When dealing with a spill or a leak we are to always clean up the mess if we can, or to have one of our other employees help out.
  • Putting away whatever is left from the previous customer back especially if its a cold food, dairy, or meat.
  • When we deal with a troubled customer we are to deescalate the issue as much as we can
