  • Communication professionally between coworkers, campus personnel, supervisors, students, etc politely and effectively at all times. Have assisted in on-boarding new hires and explained our procedures, protocols, practices, and purview of projects and tasks at the college.


  • Able and comfortable climbing, staging, and taking down scaffolding, various types and lengths of ladders, as well as trained and certified for Aerial lifts and fall protection to access work areas while observing safety protocols at all times for myself and crew mates.


  • Preparation and repairs of interior and exterior trim, walls, ceilings, and various surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding and dust removal between applications; spackle / putty / mixing mud, filling and patching with various blades; measuring and cutting drywall; aerosol / sprayed or brushed / rolled primer coating; a range of textures to match existing area; top coats as necessary for full coverage finish; complete tasks and projects to supervisor specifications.


  • Protect surfaces and furnishings with cloth, plastic, masking paper and various types of tape to prevent overspray and paint drops, including but not limited to: carpets, cabinetry, tile, hardwood and linoleum flooring, outlet / switchplate covers, hinges, doorknobs, lighting fixtures, emergency exit signs, room placards, fire extinguishers / alarms, fire sprinklers, desk items, computers, chairs, mattresses, windows, cars, nearby landscaping, etc.


  • Applied primers or sealers to prepare various surfaces such as drywall, wood, plastic, masonry, and metals for finish coats.


  • Applied various types of putty, wood filler, spackling, plaster, bondo, and caulking to prep uneven surfaces and fill in holes, joints, gaps, and cracks.


  • Obtained correct dimensions and specifications by properly measuring areas before cutting and hanging sheetrock, work site specifications, or other installed repairs.


  • Rust remediation: rust conversion, rust remover, rust destroyer, grinding, power sanding, specialized priming, etching surfaces, and top coating.


  • Prep, mixing, reading / following instructions for use of 2-part epoxy and urethane products for shower stalls throughout Main Quad and exterior metals


  • Parking lot striping, pavement marking, stenciling


  • Operating and troubleshooting our various sprayers such as pavement stripers, Graco airless, and HVLP


  • Proficient and helpful toward others with the computer programs and documents utilized by CSUMB including: Limble, CMS, SumTotal, Google Docs, Google Calander, Adobe Sign, Zoom, Google Meet, Purchase Orders, Excel spreadsheets, floor plans, technical data sheets, project submittal forms, email communication and so forth


  • Familiarized with the campus itself, campus standards, work orders, logging time, driving company vehicles, prepping and painting various surfaces, maintaining an attractive environment across campus and providing excellent customer service
