Properly use and maintain teaching resources and equipment, including but not limited to those for field, lab and classroom use.

Teach aquarium programs / projects as need, such as World Ocean Day, Shark Week, and Special events.

Assist educational manager with onsite curriculum development and program evaluations.

Properly handle and utilize live animals, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.

Provide exceptional guest service to both external and internal customers.

Conduct on-site and off-site, educational programs, for school and private audiences.

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures of the aquarium.

Ability to teach basic science, technology, engineering, and math concepts and processes, in an informal and formal setting.

Proficient leading and instructing school and /or public-based programming in structured and unstructured settings, including classroom, outdoor, and /or field-based environments.

Experience working with and engaging a variety of audiences from early childhood, youth, school groups and families.

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team or independently.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people of all ages.

Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills, along with mentoring and guiding volunteers, and new part-time instructors through the program processes and protocols.

Provide a safe environment for guests during private events, such as weddings, birthday parties and corporate parties and events.

Ensure safety for the animals by directing guest out of restrictive areas of the aquarium.

Aid in setting up and tearing down equipment for events.
