Over the past few years I have gained skills that allow me to comfortably interact with others when need be and be more than willing to help someone. I am more than dedicated to working with others and pushing past the hurdles of staying organized or remembering things that I used to have.
I am apart of 2 clubs that are dedicated to helping our school in many ways. Over the year I have participated in many campus cleanup to make sure our school grounds are clean. To help bring positivity to people, I have helped write letters to appreciate the teachers and staff there. Decorating the school for important events like Black History Month is how I dedicate myself to take the workload off of staff members and show support. Helping people in my school and the school itself made me develop a desire to help in any way possible.
Since last year, I have volunteered at my local library by helping club meetings and other events. For club meetings I would help set up and gather all the necessary materials needing, such as gathering chess boards or getting ukuleles from storage. I would also actively participate in the club by taking part in the activities and interacting with the members. During events I would be speaking and interacting with those attending by offering them help or encouragement when they were participating in crafts. My social skills have grown because of this as I am more comfortable with speaking to others.
