Aubrey Miller

At The Parlor I do many jobs. I fulfill orders (ice cream, milkshakes, coffee, food, etc), I take orders, I handle cash, and I clean. It is a very good experience for me because we all work together and just do the jobs that need to be done instead of procrastinating and getting in each others way. In my time at The Parlor I’ve learned to deal with customers, coworkers, stressful situations, and learned to compromise.

At McDonald’s I worked in the service area. I worked with customers, coworkers, and very stressful situations. I took orders, handled cash, bagged orders, dishes, made drinks, and cleaned. The work experience at McDonald’s was very stressful because of how busy it could get, especially after events in our area such at sports games. Overall I think McDonald’s helped me become better at handling fast paced work and dealing with customers.

I worked briefly one summer at the chicken barns for my neighbors. After that summer I still helped out if they needed but I didn’t have a set schedule. I walked the barns looking for eggs and dead chickens. It was my job to gather those eggs and take care of the dead chickens. I would also load eggs from the barns onto flats from a conveyer belt. It was very dirty work and definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone dealing with all the chickens.
