Through my 12 years showing horses in 4H, I have begun also mentoring and assisting younger members find their passion and confidence in the sport. I volunteered both my time and my horse to teach these members, as a way to give back to the 4H community that has given me so much.

• Guided younger 4H members in project development, fostering leadership and responsibility.
• Provided lessons and allowed younger riders to learn on my horse
• Developed and implemented engaging lessons to teach young riders how to care for, show, and feel confident around horses

During my time as a high school band student and section leader, I would spend an hour every day assisting during the middle school band class to teach them musical skills, as well as how to be responsible and respectful a member of an ensemble.

• Coordinated student sectionals, increasing individual engagement and accountability.
• Provided one on one assistance to struggling students.
• Developed teaching techniques and skills to aid younger band students.
