Years of pre-professional experience
Students are introduced to existing and emerging geospatial technologies and their application across a wide range of disciplines dealing with intelligence security, and decision making. Utilizing intelligence analysis with programs such as, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and 3D visualization, to develop hands-on skills in digital mapping and explore applications of geospatial intelligence in fields of defense intelligence, law enforcement, and emergency management.
This course offers hands-on familiarity with intelligence-briefing conventions for members of the Chanticleer Intelligence Brief (CIB) student group. Students acquire an experiential understanding of open-source intelligence collection, production and delivery, centering on their own regional- or issue-based concentration.
Structured undergraduate research projects conducted with faculty direction and participation. Projects will explore chemical or related problems using the scientific method.
An independent study course that will provide the student with focused applications and research problems in utilizing geospatial technologies to map and analyze changes to the physical geography of the Arctic. Using GIS and geospatial technologies exercises and exploring more advanced, in-depth analysis and modeling, I developed maps and literature illustrating change in the Arctic and its impacts.
